1. This is the most important step in
for the PMP exam prep. You must come
up with a solid study plan for your preparation. You must work on a weekly plan
and set milestones and complete them on the fixed time. You must also schedule
your PMP exam accordingly, so as you
complete the entire PMP course on
time and still have time left for revision and solving mock tests.
2. Take the mandatory 35-hour
professional training. You must complete the 35-hours of professional PMP training in order to qualify for
the certification. There are majorly three pathways to take the professional
training. You must choose the one that fits your study plan. There 3 pathways
are:
·
Classroom
training.
·
Online
self-training.
·
Online
instructor led-training.
3. Take notes. You must always take
notes of the PMP course you are
covering. Make flashcard that can help you get a good grasp of the study
materials by just a glance. You can also take help of PMP tools and simulator
that are available online. Use tools that are from trusted sites.
4. Practice all you can. The PMP exam deals with a vast syllabus,
which needs to be completed to successfully clear the examination. You must
study the PMBOK guide thoroughly as it is the core study material for the certification.
You must have a thorough knowledge and must at least revise the contents of the
guide and study materials of the PMP course.
5. Identify the Project risks from the
beginning. It is always recommended that you try identifying project risks and
dependencies from the start. These tend to change over time, but must be
identified each time and should be communicated to all. Use accurate metrics.
Make sure you use accurate metrics to track you project status as the
reports not only show where the project stands but also allows the project
managers to determine the project’s future progress and direction in the PMP exam prep.
