5 Tips to help you ace the PMP exam in first attempt


1.   This is the most important step in for the PMP exam prep. You must come up with a solid study plan for your preparation. You must work on a weekly plan and set milestones and complete them on the fixed time. You must also schedule your PMP exam accordingly, so as you complete the entire PMP course on time and still have time left for revision and solving mock tests.

2.    Take the mandatory 35-hour professional training. You must complete the 35-hours of professional PMP training in order to qualify for the certification. There are majorly three pathways to take the professional training. You must choose the one that fits your study plan. There 3 pathways are:


·         Classroom training.
·         Online self-training.
·         Online instructor led-training.

3.     Take notes. You must always take notes of the PMP course you are covering. Make flashcard that can help you get a good grasp of the study materials by just a glance. You can also take help of PMP tools and simulator that are available online. Use tools that are from trusted sites.

4.      Practice all you can. The PMP exam deals with a vast syllabus, which needs to be completed to successfully clear the examination. You must study the PMBOK guide thoroughly as it is the core study material for the certification. You must have a thorough knowledge and must at least revise the contents of the guide and study materials of the PMP course.

5.      Identify the Project risks from the beginning. It is always recommended that you try identifying project risks and dependencies from the start. These tend to change over time, but must be identified each time and should be communicated to all. Use accurate metrics.
Make sure you use accurate metrics to track you project status as the reports not only show where the project stands but also allows the project managers to determine the project’s future progress and direction in the PMP exam prep.
