Agile software development methods "use a collaborative effort of self-organizing and cross-functional teams and their customer/end-user to identifying requirements and delivering solutions." To someone who isn't familiar with technology, this sounds extremely sophisticated and perplexing. This is why I've come to explain the agile concepts and how they help you achieve project success so you can acquire your online PMP certification!
However, we must
first review the Agile Manifesto. The Manifesto was written in 2001 by a group
of software experts with project management experience. The 12 Agile Principles
formed the foundation of this project. PMP
bootcamp is the program, for you, if you are looking
to get PMP certified.
a.
The customer's satisfaction is our top goal, thus we
offer valuable software on time and on schedule.
b.
Changes in requirements are welcome, especially if
they occur late in the development process. Agile procedures take advantage of
change to help customers gain a competitive advantage.
c.
Deliver working software on a regular basis, anything
from a few weeks to a few months, with a preference for shorter timeframes.
d.
Throughout the project, businesspeople and developers
must collaborate on a daily basis.
e.
Build projects around people who are passionate about
what they're doing. Give them the space and support they require, and trust
them to do the task.
f.
Face-to-face communication is the most efficient and
effective way of transmitting information to and within a development team.
g.
Working software is the most important indicator of
progress.
h.
Sustainable development is aided by agile processes.
Sponsors, developers, and consumers should all be able to keep up with the pace
indefinitely.
i.
A constant focus on technical excellence and smart
design improves agility.
j.
Simplicity — the technique of minimizing the amount of
work that isn't completed – is critical.
k.
Self-organizing teams produce the finest
architectures, requirements, and designs.
The team reflects on how to become more effective at regular intervals, then
tunes and adapts its behavior accordingly.
How can you start
using these 12 principles to ongoing projects and earn your project management
institute certification once you have them.
Focus well on
your PMP bootcamp to improve your
project management skills.
It is critical to
have a good strategy in place and to understand your path to success. Only once
you've figured out where you're heading and how you'll get there can you figure
out the following step.
1.
Create your mind map
After you've
answered these questions, you should start planning your strategy. Your plan
establishes your starting and ending locations but does not teach you how to
get there. That's something you'll have to figure out for yourself. But don't
worry—you don't need to know every detail—all you need is a simple timetable
with estimated milestones and stats.
