Role of IIBA and PMI

IF you are a professional from the field of Business Analysis or Project Management, you must have surely heard about IIBA Certification and PMI certification. Well, IIBA is one of the most important institutes in the field of Business Analysis. It is responsible for regulating some of the most valuable certifications for the professionals. Certifications Regulated under IIBA:
  1. ECBA: ECBA is an entry-level IIBA certification that is helpful from business analyst professionals who have a very low amount of experience in the field. Applicants do not need any mandatory work experience before applying for the exam however; there are other criteria that they need to fulfill.
  2. CCBA: To gain the CCBA certification, professionals need work experience of at least 7 years along with a whole lot of experience in the field of Business Analysis.

Certifications regulated under PMI:
  1. CAPM: CAPM is an entry-level certification for Project management professionals. Applicants either need 1500 hours of professional experience of 23 hours of the formal study program to apply for the same.
  2. PMP: PMP certification is considered to be one of the most valuable and advanced certifications in the field of Project Management. Applicants need at least 3 to 5 years of work experience, based on their educational qualification to apply for PMP. Thereafter, they also need to complete 35 hours of the study program to become eligible for the certification exam.
