• The applicant must have completed at least high school or any other higher educational qualification.
• He/she should have gained at least 1500 hours of relevant experience working as a project manager,
  irrespective of the time period of the work experience. However, if the applicant does not have the giver experience, he/she can complete a formal CAPM course of 23 hours and become eligible to appear for the exam.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria for PMP Exam:

• The applicants should have a minimum educational qualification of a high school degree along with a work experience of 5 years. People with a secondary degree or higher need 3 years of experience.
• High school diploma holders must have completed professional work as a project manager for a time period of 7500 hours. Degree holders need 4500 in the same.
• Apart from the abovementioned criteria, applicants are also required to successfully complete a 35 hours long PMP course to become eligible for the exam.
