ECBA is one of the most wanted entry-level certifications for Business Analysts. However, PMP is one of the most advanced level certifications. Moreover, one does not require having any relevant work experience to appear for the ECBA Exam, but the work experience required to appear for the PMP exam is relatively high. Exploring the ECBA Criteria:
- To appear for the ECBA Exam, the applicants need to clear all the below mentioned criteria:
- The applicant must possess at least a high school diploma.
- The applicant does not require any mandatory work experience.
- The applicant must have gained professional development for a minimum of 21 hours within the time period of the past 4 years.
- The applicant also needs to agree with all the terms and conditions and code of conduct before proceeding further.
Exploring the PMP Criteria:
To appear for the PMP exam, the applicant must clear any one of the below mentioned two criteria, based on their highest educational qualification:
- The applicant with a high school qualification needs 5 years of work experience to apply for the PMP exam. They also require 7500 hours of work experience as a project manager, alongside, completing 35 hours of mandatory PMP course regulated under PMI.
- The applicants with a secondary degree or any other higher educational certification need only 3 years of experience to apply for the PMP exam. Along with that 4500 hours of work as a project manager with completion of 35 hours mandatory course is also applicable.
