Are you ready to begin your PMI Certification career?

There is nothing else that can improve a competent project manager's career than being accredited with one of the best PMI certifications. The CAPM and the PMP certification are two of the most popular certifications governed under the PMI institute. It will help you improve your career to a great degree if you are good in having either one of them. However, in order to receive one of the above-mentioned certifications, applicants must pass a credential test. As listed below, the minimum eligibility requirements for applying for any of the certification exams are as stated below.

Check Your PMP Certification Compatibility:

It is important for candidates to have a reasonable amount of work experience in the industry, as one of the most advanced project management certifications. As stated below, the criteria that an applicant needs to meet in order to appear for the certification exam are:

  • Applicants with a high school diploma must have 5 years of work experience and 7500 hours of work to appear for the certification test. However, in addition to 4500 hours of skilled work, candidates with a certification equal to or greater than a secondary degree require just 3 years of work experience.
  • In addition to all the above-mentioned criteria, it is also compulsory for all applicants to complete a 35-hour official PMP course before taking the test.

Check Your CAPM Certification Compatibility:

In the area of project management, CAPM is an entry-level certification. It can be extremely helpful for a beginner in the field to obtain this credential. However, in order to qualify for the CAPM certification test, the applicant must meet the following conditions:

  • The applicant must have a high school diploma or some other global equivalent minimum certification.
  • Before applying for certification, the candidate must have a minimum working experience of 1500 hours. In either case, the applicant may complete a 23-hour official CAPM Certification course in order to become eligible.
