Every course and every job has a certain prerequisite that has to be fulfilled if someone is willing to get certified in the same. For this, the applicants are advised to go through everything carefully before applying as at times small ignorance leads to the cancellation of applications. So, we thought to make you familiar with the prerequisites of two major credentials that are related to the job role of a Business Analyst and Project Manager. All of us are aware of the leading credentials in this area are CBAP Certification, PMP. One is offered by the Project Management Institute while the other one is provided by the International Institute of Business Analyst (IIBA).
Requirements of CBAP Course:
- You should complete at least 35 hours of professional development within the last 4 years.
- As a Business Analyst, you should have 7500 hours of experience in the last ten years.
- During these 10 years, you should also complete 4 out 6 areas of the guide i.e., BABOK (Business Analyst Book of Knowledge)
- Sitting in the exam and passing the same mandatory
- All codes of conduct to be agreed
- All terms and conditions should be accepted.
Requirements of PMP (PMP Exam Prep):
- Either you should have a high school diploma or a four-year degree.
- So, if you have a four-year degree you should have at least three years of experience as a leading project manager whereas if you have a high school diploma, the experience required is five years.
- Project management training of 35 hours is necessary.
- All codes of conduct to be agreed upon.
- All terms and conditions to be accepted.
- Doing PMP Exam prep and passing the examination is also mandatory.
These were the basic eligibility requirement that every applicant has to fulfill if he or she wants to enroll in it and get certified and get a chance to increase his or her credibility and also, earn higher than other non-certified peers.
