4 PMP Exam prep guidelines for better growth

Is PMP Exam prep difficult? Although the majority of people answer yes to this question, it is not as difficult as it seems. When you look at the causes behind several politicians' failures, you'll see that there are several similar themes. So, in order to help you ace the PMP Exam on your first try, we've put together four useful tips that will help you succeed.

4 Tips to ace your PMP Exam prep

  • Use as few reference books and test prep books as possible. When it comes to studying for the difficult qualification test, all you need is the PMBOK guide and 1-2 reference books. You will get confused if you have too many study books and online classes. To supplement the PMBOK guide, one good examination course and one prep book are usually appropriate.

  • Join forums. Exam takers are more than happy to share their exam-taking perspectives on PMP forums. This is a necessary step in your exam preparation. It's enough to check and comment on your work for a few minutes per day. Don't overdo it.
  • Practice is the key. Exam preparation should involve more reading and practice questions. Solving question banks from previous years is a perfect way to improve your ability to answer exam questions. In addition to assisting, you in identifying the poor areas of the subject, taking mock tests will help you develop the speed necessary to complete the question in the allotted time of four hours. The value of PMP training cannot be underestimated.

  • Prepare for formula-based questions. Create a special section of your study notes with all of the relevant calculations and terms. Make a note of them. Recall from the cheat sheet – and write the contents down on the scratchpad that will be presented in the test room – before the real review begins. This is referred to as a "brain drain"!

If you need to change an answer to a prior post, don't be afraid to do so. You may find yourself in a position when answering one question reveals information about a previous one.
