However, there are a certain set of criteria set forward by PMI which the applicants need to clear before they can apply either for the PMP or the CAPM Exam, both of which are two of the most valued PMI certifications out there. Eligibility Criteria required for PMP:

- High school diploma holders would require a minimum of 5 years of work experience in order to become eligible for the PMP certification. Along with that, they are also required to have 7500 hours of experience, heading various projects and complete 35 hours of PMP Prep course.
- Secondary degree holders and people with higher education can apply for PMP after 3yaers of work experience. The professional work done also comes down to 4500 hours. However, the 35 hours of PMP prep still remains constant.
If the applicant clears all the below-mentioned eligibility criteria, they are good to go for the ECBA certification.
- The person should hold a high school diploma or any other higher qualification certificate.
- The person must have gained 1500 hours of work experience, irrespective of the time frame as a project manager, dealing with relevant projects. However, people without any prior experience can also appear for the CAPM exam, provided that they successfully complete 23 hours of formal CAPM Exam prep.
