PMBOK is not enough to pass the PMP exam

PMBOK is boring

Yes, reading the PMBOK is essential to pass the PMP certification but to most of the individuals and professionals, it is like a sleeping pill. According to these professionals, some of the pages and parts of PMBOK is very boring and lengthy, which makes it very boring to read. As most of the people are working professionals, they like to study at night.

Falling asleep can be a very serious problem that can lead to failure. Reading only the PMBOK will not make you pass the PMP exam like CAPM or PgMP certification. So you might keep some substitute study materials that can help you understand more easily and help you pass the exam. 

Questions are different

One of the important things that you need to keep in mind while studying the PMBOK is things are different in the actual exam. Questions on the PMP exam are based on PMBOK, but it is situation-based,  you can know the theories from the PMBOK. But to know these situations, you will need to have practical experience of project and study material. PMBOK is very good to know the theories and knowledge areas of the PMP course.
