How many hours determine an ideal PMP Exam prep?

It is important to determine the appropriate amount of time for scheduling the PMP Exam prep.  Knowing how many hours you will spend on your studies would help you to concentrate better. You only have a finite number of hours to operate at full time and to have family responsibilities, so you need to have an effective study plan.

How many hours does each section take?

·         PMP Video training (50 hours) - The videos covers different  tools and techniques derived from contents featured in the new PMBOK guide and some of the designs, theories, and formulas which are not thoroughly described in the guide. 

·          Chapter tests (6 hours)  - A set of 20-35 PDF document multiple choice questions, along with detailed explanations and links are provided in each section of the PMBOK Guide once you have gone through the PMP Training videos. They are designed to check your interpretation and comprehension of the material covered in the area.

·         PMP Formula based questions (6 hours) - It is not something you can forfeit if you have a degree in engineering and learn your way through equations and measurements.

·         PMP Exam simulators (24 hours) - You need to perform through - at least 5 exam simulations in order to prepare and train in a highly realistic test environment prior to the exam day.

·         Final review (4 hours) - After all the lessons, tests and exam exercises are done it is vital that you use this period of time to carefully review your weak areas and ensure you understand the concepts. Try identifying some areas of concern that need to be worked on before the examination.

The minimum times we advise that you devote are 90 hours to secure a passing score for your PMP exam. Strategically organizing your exam course and adopting the above-mentioned practices - will not only allow you learn and grab the content more efficiently, but will also help optimize your time wisely with respect to your other day-to-day responsibilities.
